Turning Favorite Photos Into Fabulous Drawings
I love watching the paper come to life as a portrait fills in across it; but of course, drawing a portrait is much more complicated than that. My first step is to draw a grid on both the portrait paper, and a to-scale print of the photo. The grid is a tool I use to ensure my outline sketch stays proportionate to the original photo. Sketching the outline is next, and is one of the most important steps as it is the foundation that the whole portrait is built on. With the outline complete, it’s time for my favorite part of the whole process–shading! I love adding all the depth, value, light, and life that this step brings. This is my favorite part because this is where the portrait truly comes to life! After some final touch-ups and erasing the grid from the white spaces, a coat of fixative is applied to keep any pencil from smudging. It’s truly wonderful turning a piece of paper into something that can bring such joy to someone else.

Portraits
Each portrait is hand drawn with great attention paid to every detail. This ensures that the final drawing is as close to the reference photo as possible. With a passion for drawing people, and nearly 20 years of portraiture experience, I strive to make each portrait a masterpiece.
Prints
All prints are made from high-resolution images of the original drawing. I use pigment ink and print on premium fine art, archival quality paper to ensure that each print will last.

Nature Drawings
Though I mostly draw portraits, I will occasionally pull some inspiration from nature. The intricate detail within flower and tiny fauna has always fascinated me. Though I do not have many examples, I do enjoy these portraits of nature.
